7 Gifts for Book-Loving Babies

We added a new baby to our family this year, which means — baby stuff! Of course, we’ve got lots of books for him and we’re already reading to him daily. But a bookworm like myself also can’t resist some precious book-themed baby gear as well.

If you’re looking for the perfect gift for that book-loving baby in your life (or some book-loving parents), check out these adorable gift ideas.

[box] Tip: If you’re expecting a baby, I highly recommend signing up for an Amazon Baby Registry. It doesn’t cost you anything, and you can put anything Amazon sells on your registry, including lots and lots of books![/box]

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Interactive Toy — We attached this toy to the side of our stroller, and my son loves to to shake it and move the beads around. It also makes that crinkly sound that babies seem to love! This has been one of our favorite baby toys for our youngest son.

Elephant and Piggie Plush Toys — We’re huge Mo Willems fans, and my middle son still loves the Elephant and Piggie plush toys he got when he was young. These little guys come with velcro tabs so you can stick them together to display or pull them apart for play.

BabyLit Board Books — I was a literature major in college, and I fully admit to being a bit of a nerd when it comes to “the classics.” That’s why I am obsessed with the BabyLit series of board books. These books use classic literature to teach basic concepts to young children. There are tons of great choices, but I particularly love their takes on Pride and Prejudice and Anne of Green Gables

Goodnight Moon Onesie — It’s never too early for adorable book gear! This onesie is super cute, 100% cotton, and is perfect for story time with your little one. It’s also a great gift — you can give the onesie and the book together.

Gryffindorable Bib — Until my baby is old enough to be sorted, he can be “Gryffindorable!” This sweet bib is the perfect baby gift for the little Harry Potter fan in your life.

Cozy Classics Board Books — My kids love Jack and Holman Wang’s Star Wars books, so I was thrilled to discover they have a board book series about the great works of literature as well. All of the volumes are adorable, but my favorite is the book based on The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

Little Nut-brown Hare Lovey — Guess How Much I Love You? is one of my favorite books to give new parents, and this adorable lovey makes the perfect companion. This gift is a great way to make a special story even more special.
